The DAQP-16 data acquisition PCMCIA card provides eight differential or 16 single-ended 16-bit analog input channels, expandable to 256 with input expansion cards. Its bipolar input range extends from +1.25V to +10V. Programmable gains are in steps of 1, 2, 4, and 8.
Equipped with a 4K Data FIFO, the DAQP-16 can achieve full speed data acquisition under Windows. It has a 2048 entry Scan FIFO that supports full speed random order channel scanning and gain selection. Compared with other manufacturers' cards providing smaller FIFOs, the DAQP-16 significantly reduces CPU overhead.
The DAQP-16 has a 24-bit pacer clock (programmable by a divisor of eight or a prescaler of 64) that can be used with an external clock source. With the 5MHz internal clock source, the pacer clock can generate sampling rates precise up to 100 kS/sec. The DAQP-16 also has eight digital input/output channels, each of which are TTL compatible and can be used for control or monitoring.
The DaqSuite CD is included with the card. It contains DAQDRIVE, a software driver supporting various programming languages including Microsoft C/C++, Borland C/C++, QuickBasic, Turbo PASCAL, and VisualBasic. The DaqEZ and DaqEZ Pro user friendly data acquisition application software package is included on the CD, as are drivers which interface to DasyLab, LabView, and TestPoint. A PCMCIA client driver is provided for use with DOS and Windows 3.1. Windows 95/98/NT and Windows 2000 are supported.
