DA8P-12 12-bit PCMCIA Analog Output Card Eight independent analog outputs 12-bit resolution ±5V bipolar output (DA8P-12B) 0 to +5V unipolar output (DA8P-12U) 1 mA output current per channel Simultaneous update of multiple channels Eight digital I/O channels On-board event timer External interrupt inputs Windows 95/98/NT compatible DaqSuite CD included CP-IO37 cable included The DA8P-12 is a Type II PCMCIA card supplying eight analog output and eight digital I/O channels. Available in two versions, the DA8P-12B offers eight bipolar analog outputs with a range of ±5 volts, while the DA8P-12U provides eight unipolar analog outputs with a range of 0 to +5 volts.
Each DA8P-12 analog output provides 12-bit resolution and can deliver up to 1mA of output current with a maximum of 12mA total current output per card. The DA8P-12 can also update multiple outputs simultaneously under software control or with an external event trigger. In addition to analog output, the DA8P-12 has eight channels of TTL compatible digital I/O. Each digital channel is independently programmable as an input or output channel allowing both monitoring and control functions. An on-board event timer allows the DA8P-12 to interrupt the CPU at software programmable time intervals. This allows the card to be used as a simple arbitrary waveform synthesizer. External interrupt inputs are also provided to interrupt the CPU for such events as an external trigger.
The DaqSuite CD is included with the card. It contains DAQDRIVE, a software driver supporting various programming languages including Microsoft C/C++, Borland C/C++, QuickBasic, Turbo PASCAL, and VisualBasic. The DaqEZ user friendly data acquisition application software package is included on the CD, as are drivers which interface to DasyLab, LabView, and TestPoint. A PCMCIA client driver is provided for use with DOS and Windows 3.1. Windows 95/98/NT is supported, and Windows 2000 support will be released later in the year. |
